History of the Company

Vltavský company

Machine industry and production of hydraulic equipment and presses for most different using have in Rakovník – concretely in RTS area – almost centenary tradition. The rise is connected with the name Eng. J. Vltavský, who has established his company already in year 1909. At first he has produced hop driers; later he has expanded his production on presses for stoneware and food industry. The change-over to production of presses for another technologies is also connected with change-over from mechanical to hydraulic presses.

In 1920 the company was produced the first vulcanize press for the BAŤA Company, from 1929, in cooperation with the Polák Praha Company, the production of die-casting hydraulic presses was established. Company became only one and the fi rst producer of presses for die-casting of aluminium in pre-war Czechoslovakia under patent confirmation.

The old gateway

Since1934, the presses for plastic materials processing were produced.In 1950 the company was jointed among Association of working machines factories under “TOS Rakovník” trade mark and the production program was firstly located to hydraulic presses production, for thermoplastic, thermosets and rubbers processing. In these branches the company has achieved the excellent consequences. Thousands machines, with export into most of continents, have been realized.

The machines from series CSE and CS, CSY, CSB and other with clamping force 600–13000kN were in excellent level and most of them work till this day. In 1974, after incorporation into TST concern, the repartition of production programm was unconsiderately transferred to Slovakia and the company was entrusted with production of hydraulic elements and aggregates for which the suitable conditions were not here.

Early in 90th year the production of die-casting for pressure casting of components from aluminium, zinc and copper alloys with clamping force of 2500–7500kN was renovated. At the same time was renovated the production of injection moulding presses for plastic materials and rubber with clamping force of 600–13000kN. The new innovated line of presses for metal, plastics and also rubber was designed into production in short time. Except single machines the company offers complete die-casting automatized cells.

These several workplaces in different levels of automatization have already realized in Czech Republic and in foreign countries. Production program was consecutively extended about overhauls with modernization of CS and CSY presses, trimming presses, tilting presses, die-casting machines for pressureless casting of aluminium alloys into die, hydraulic semi-automatic presses and hydraulic workshop and mounting presses. Since 1995 the company is supplier of control systems the society ELAP Světlá Hora that is sharing with a very important rate in a new progress.
